Winter Journey: A Fundraiser for Shelter Nova Scotia

To help you warm up from the cold, the Bus Stop Theatre Cooperative & Workshirt Opera are hosting three evenings of new solo performances from 24 local artists. For this event, the 24 artists have taken inspiration from the music of Franz Schubert’s Winterreise (Winter Journey) and accompanying poems by Wilhelm Müller to create original short solo performances. Each artist has been randomly assigned another artist to create for, resulting in a collaborative theatrical reimagining of Schubert’s famous musical work. Proceeds from this event will go to Shelter Nova Scotia, a local organization "dedicated to ending homelessness one person at a time and helping men and women transition from prison life to community living." 3 evenings 8 performances nightly at 8pm 24 original works $15 / evening $40 / journey Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at The Coast, Halifax's Weekly, 2309 Maynard St., from Mon-Fri 9-5 Or at: or Thursday, January 14th for Henricus Gielis / from Garry Williams for Zach Faye / from Stephanie Yee for Courtney Harris / from Margaret Legere* for Dorian Lang / from Katie Dorian for Mike Chandler* / from Ross Unger for Daniel Gervais* / from Zach Faye for Katie Dorian / from Keelin Jack* for Margaret Legere* / from Michael Lake Friday, January 15th for Colleen MacIsaac / from Courtney Harris for Johnny Cann / from Clare Waque for Stephanie Yee / from Gina Thornhill for Sean Skerry / from Tom Lute for Garry Williams / from Daniel Gervais* for Dan Bray / from Henricus Gielis for Michael Lake / from Meghan Hubley for Kim Parkhill* / from Sean Skerry Saturday January 16th for Tom Lute / from Kim Parkhill* for Susan Leblanc* / from Colleen MacIsaac for Ross Unger / from Johnny Cann for Laura Burke / from Dorian Lang for Keelin Jack* / from Mike Chandler* for Meghan Hubley / from Dan Bray for Clare Waque / from Susan Leblanc* for Gina Thornhill / from Laura Burke *Appearing with the special permission of the Canadian Actors' Equity Association To donate a night's rest, visit Accessibility notes & disclaimers: The Bus Stop Theatre is wheelchair accessible Bus tickets are available for transportation to and from the event Sliding scale ticket options are available There will be alcohol served at the event
